Choosing a Meditation

PDF Print E-mail

Are you a little overwhelmed by the number of meditations on the Mindwaves website?  Not sure which meditation to choose? There are a couple of easy ways you can select a meditation that is right for you.

Listen to the Samples

Each meditation has a sample.  Have a listen to the sample for each meditation to see what it sounds like.  Use headphones if you have some because most computer speakers aren't of high enough quality to hear the samples properly.  The samples are too short to get any meditative effect, but it will give you an idea of what the meditation sounds like.

Get the free Mindwaves Meditation Starter Pack

Even better, grab the FREE Mindwaves Meditation Starter Pack!  It includes 4 free meditations as well as a Meditation Guide.  As suggested in the guide, listen to each of the meditations at least 3 times and take note of which ones work best for you. We have purposely used a different brainwave encoding method for the free meditations so that you can determine what works for you.

Many people will find that all of the meditations work for them.  If this is you then you're lucky.  Listen to each meditation's sample as suggested above to find one which suits your personal preferences.

Other people may find that only specific entrainment methods work for them.  In this case, you can use the following chart to select meditations that will suit you:

If these free meditations work for you... ...then these advanced meditations should work for you
